Governance
Chaupal has a General Body and an Executive Committee. These committees assist in planning review and monitoring of work. Both the committees are a mix of grassroots workers, subject matter experts, experienced social workers and academicians. Chaupal also has a separate complaints committee under Vishakha Guidelines, for scrutinizing and addressing any such complaints received.
These people’s organizations had history of collaborating with each other from 2003 onwards. Representatives of these four organizations are part of Chaupal’s Governing Board and participate in the collective decision making. It got registered under the Societies Act in 2006 and received FCRA registration in 2010.
